We hope this message finds you well and your inboxes relatively empty. Today, we some news to share that’s a little bittersweet.
After much discussion, we have made the tough decision to permanently close the Social Media Tea merch shop on June 30, 2024.
Life’s many twists and turns have led both of us down new paths (both professionally and personally), and we find ourselves juggling more responsibilities than we can realistically handle right now. As much as we've adored curating and designing for the shop, we simply don't have the time to give it the love and attention it deserves anymore.
Yes, we know it’s ironic considering how often the confessions we share talk about social media professionals being overworked and burnt out. When it comes down to it, our decision is about prioritizing our own mental wellbeing.
Both of us could also use a lot more sleep.
But fear not! While we may be saying goodbye to the merch shop, Social Media Tea isn't going anywhere. We're still committed to serving up piping hot content and keeping your feeds brimming with snark, sass, and sarcasm. Tea confessions will continue Monday through Friday on Instagram. Random hilarity can be found on our Threads account. We’ll be using Facebook less because honestly, who likes Facebook anyway?
Before we say goodbye to the shop in June, we want to take a moment to express our immense gratitude for everyone who has supported the shop since we launched it (completely on a whim) in November 2021. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your support, enthusiasm, and unwavering love for our ridiculous and hilarious shop designs!
And as a token of our appreciation, everyone can enjoy 10% off all orders until the shop closes on June 30. The discount will apply automatically to any order over $1.00. It's our little way of saying thank you.
We may be closing one chapter, but the story of Social Media Tea is far from over. Cheers to the continued chaos.
